Capture any page for your videos, right from Chrome
Screencasts with a styled cursor, full-page shots, single elements with their CSS and whole brand kits go straight to your media bank. Start a video from the page you are on, or film your app behind its login.

Everything a video needs from a page, in one side panel
- Create a video from this page
One click opens PageToVid with the page's address filled in, plus a brief you write — or one drafted from a screenshot with your Gemini key.
- Screencasts with a styled cursor
Record the tab with a dot, ring or spotlight cursor in your colour, click ripples included. The clip lands in your media bank as an MP4.
- Full-page screenshots
The whole scrollable page in one image, stitched tile by tile, with sticky headers held in place and no debugging banner.
- Elements, with their CSS
Hover, then click a button, card or section: the shot is cropped to it, and its CSS recipe — background, radius, font, shadow — comes along.
- The page's own images
See every photo and illustration the page shows, at its real size, and send any of them to your media bank instead of screenshotting it.
- Brand kit
Colours, fonts, corner radius, button styles, logo and light or dark theme, as one kit you send to PageToVid or copy as JSON.
- Logged-in capture
Hand your signed-in session to the cloud recorder, so the video shows your real app instead of its login page.
- Record a flow, replay a plan
Bind to a tab and every page you open is captured as one route. Flows planned in VS Code are recorded here, step by step.
- Document a feature
Use a feature once: every click and entry is screenshotted, then AI writes a how-to and a list of issues.
- Auto capture
Give it a list of pages, or let it map the site. It visits each one and banks a full-page shot, with an optional AI review per page.
- AI reviews on your own key
Video brief, UX, copy, accessibility and conversion reviews run on your own Gemini key. The image goes from your browser to Google, never through us.
How it works
- 1Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- 2Sign in on pagetovid.com in the same browser. The extension connects by itself — no key to paste.
- 3Open the side panel from the toolbar icon, or press Alt+Shift+P.
- 4Capture what you need and send it to your media bank, or start a video from the page you are on.
Your pages stay yours
- Nothing leaves your browser until you press Send, or start an auto capture yourself.
- Your session is sent only when you press its button, stored encrypted, and expires within 24 hours.
- AI reviews go from your browser straight to Google, on your own Gemini key.
- The console reader sees console output only — never page content, cookies, form values or storage.
Free, with one exception
The extension and every capture are free with a PageToVid account. A video you make from them follows your usual plan.
Filming behind a login is on the Scale plan and up. Once a session is sent, it covers every render of that site's origin — from the website, your AI assistant or the API — until it expires.
Extension (your browser, logged in)
└─ export cookies + localStorage
└─ POST → PageToVid (Playwright storageState)
└─ headless Chromium loads the app AS YOU
└─ retina record → Remotion → MP4Rather not install an extension? When you create a film, tick “This site needs a login” and give a test account's sign-in page, email and password: we sign in once, keep the session for that origin and never store the password. SSO and two-factor logins need the extension.

Claude Code reads your codebase and writes the flows worth filming. The Chrome extension records them in your browser, and each step becomes a scene.

Is the extension free?
Yes. Install it, sign in to your PageToVid account and capture as much as you like. Only filming pages behind a login needs the Scale plan.
Does it send my pages anywhere?
Only what you choose. A capture leaves your browser when you press Send, and the console reader never reads page content, cookies or form values.
Do I need an API key?
No. Sign in on pagetovid.com in the same browser and the extension connects through your session. You can paste an API key from your account page instead.
Where do my captures go?
To your media bank on pagetovid.com, tagged “extension”, ready for any video. Screencasts are converted to MP4.
Is my login session safe?
It is sent only when you press its button, over HTTPS, stored encrypted, bound to one site and forgotten after 24 hours. Use it only on accounts you own.
Does it work with the VS Code extension?
Yes. Claude Code plans the flows from your code in VS Code, and the Chrome extension records them in your browser, one scene per step.
